Blue Eagle Exterior Stucco
Specifications and Description
I. Description
A. Use: To provide a lasting, durable color finish over any properly prepared portland cement base.
B. Composition: Blue Eagle exterior stucco finish is a mechanically blended compound of portland cement,
hydrated lime and inert aggregates, packed in sealed multi-wall bags.
C. Color: Integrally mixed in the bag or with the Package Color System as base and color pack.
II. Job Procedure
A. Condition of Base:
1. Hand application over portland cement: Prior to application of exterior stucco finish, the base coat
shall be sprayed with clean water to control and equalize water absorption.
2. Machine application over portland cement base: Base coat shall be dry. (It is not necessary to dampen
the base coat before application of exterior finish by machine as the compound itself has ample
moisture when mixed for this purpose.)
B. Mixing: Exterior stucco finish shall be power mixed with clean water for at leas 15 minutes, and shall be
used within two hours after mixing.
C. Application: For machine dash application, spray first coat over dry surface covering base coat
completely, after first coat has dried, apply second coat and bring to desired texture.
For hand application, it may be necessary to dampen base coat slightly depending upo9n weather
conditions. Trowel on an even coat, then rubber float or trowel to the desired texture.
Thickness for either application should be 1/16" to 1/8".
D. Under normal conditions, Blue Eagle Brand Exterior Stucco produces uniform color finishes; however due
to variations in base coat, surface texture, weather and method of application, color may mottle. To
compensate, specify Blue Eagle Brand Fog-Kote in same color as exterior stucco. Prior to fog coating, a
sample area should be applied and allowed to dry for color approval.

B. Portland Cement: Type 1-11 ASTM C150-56
